This management position will be key for our client establishing a long-term business platform across Europe, delivering wind turbine supply and services.
The Role
- Initiate maiden onshore wind turbine sales relationships across major targeted markets in North and East Europe
- Direct turbine sales operation in Europe managing a team of top level sales managers in country
- Developing and managing an opportunity pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in onshore wind turbine sales, moving into offshore sales from 2014/15
- Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to establish market share in these markets
- Lead complex bid processes and negotiations of turbine purchase agreements with IPP/developers
- Work with the company’s technical, legal and development teams providing support for the negotiations process with the developers, government departments and utilities
- Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations and perform within the framework of the company
The Requirements
- Significant sales experience with a proven track record in the wind energy sector
- Reputable within the wind energy sector
- Contract negotiations of large scale multi million Euro negotiations
- An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry in Europe
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- Proficient with making impactful presentations with proven ability to communicate across all levels of organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
- Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
- Possess a strong entrepreneurial attitude
- Be a proven team player who shares the company values of integrity, cooperation and the customer comes first
- Demonstrate intelligence, sound judgment and be a self-starter with a pragmatic outlook
- Have commitment and a personal style for working within a dynamic environment and an ability to influence others from an executive position
- Be driven by high standards of work and professionalism and will also have high expectations of themselves and the team
- English capability is a must, other European languages also an advantage
- Ideally having worked with a major European wind turbine manufacturer
- Additional experience working for a developer would be a definitive advantage
