The role
- Leading layout and design of the offshore substation
- Leading technical negotiations with contractors, vendors and partners, consultants, etc. and develop the technical specification
- Interface Management to all Packages and other disciplines like HSSE, QA, C&P
- Definition of technical key requirements
- Evaluating technical and commercial requirements for mechanical engineering systems
- Management obtaining the certificate of the project without conditions
- Acquisition of the approval of the BSH for substation incl electrical part
- Organizing and coordinating the certification relevant internal and external processes with the relevant departments and partners
- Developing relationships with certification and licensing authorities
- Support in contract negotiations with respect to certification
- Evaluation and active participation in the creation of internal certification relevant documentation prior to their transfer to the CA and the BSH
The requirements
- Successfully completed a university degree in engineering plant operations, marine engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification
- Experience in project management offshore technology, the maritime environment, or equivalent knowledge
- Experience in engineering mechanical equipment, components and systems in the offshore marine area or required
- Confident in dealing with rules and standards such as IEC / DNV / GL / SOLAS
- Fluent in German and English
- Technical leadership experience desirable
