Marine Engineer. Germany, Cologne. €100-120k + 25% bonus
My client is a global leader in the desgin and manufacturing of innovative cable systems for energy transmission. They are currently looking to become a vertically integrated company and have a strong presence in the installation sector
Position Overview:
The is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to be at the forefront of this leading companies expansion into the cabling installation market. Building up a team of engineers, you will provide critical support and technical guidance for engineering, procurement, sales and project management on all technical aspects of Marine Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the interface between various departments
- Appointment of subcontractors and consultants in all Marine Engineering matters
- The development of standards and policies on issues concerning marine engineering
- Support for Sales and Project Management in Risk Management
- Supporting the Finance Department in matters of "Marine Insurance"
Education:
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, hydraulic engineering, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, geosciences or industrial engineering
Core Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience in the submarine cable, - oil and gas, ship charter, or cable laying industry
- Strong understanding of processes and procedures in the marine industry
- Fluency in English
General Requirements
-Willingness to travel
-Fluency in German is would be highly desirable
-Strong commercial awareness
- Project Management experience
