Project Implementation Manager
Location: Swindon or Barnard Castle
RWE npower renewables is a subsidiary of RWE Innogy, and is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy companies, dedicated to generating electricity using sustainable, environmentally friendly resources. We have the resources and expertise to develop, build and operate high quality, commercial-scale renewable energy schemes throughout the UK.
We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our Onshore Development team on a basis for up to 12 months. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of schemes from planning permission through to handover to Project Managers, to enable them to take the schemes on to construction. You will focus on a range of specific duties including discharging planning conditions, securing land interests, establishing grid connections and selecting/negotiating turbine supply agreements, as well as financial duties such as gaining RWE Innogy Board approval for capital investment, managing the capital budget and mitigating risk. You will also be relied upon to handle more specialist tasks, such as resolving any outstanding technical, legal, planning or grid issues to enable schemes to pass through to construction, which may require liaison with other key departments.
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, you will be a project management practitioner with technical experience in planning, land negotiation or technology. You will already have, or be working towards, a relevant professional qualification and, ideally, you will also have financial appraisal and analytical skills, as well as Renewables experience.
We’re looking for motivated and talented people who share our values and vision – to deliver on our promises and achieve outstanding results, whilst acting responsibly with customers, shareholders and regulators in mind. We know that our people are the real energy behind our business and help us make the most of our power and potential – so in return, we’ll help you make the most of yours, together with highly competitive rewards.
