Fred Olsen Renewables is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Oslo quoted companies Bonheur ASA and Ganger Rolf ASA responsible for the Group’s activities within renewable energy with the main emphasis on development and operation of wind farms. The Company owns and operates an installed capacity of 320 MW with an annual production of approximately 0.9 TWh. In addition there is 200 MW under construction/development in the UK and a significant portfolio of projects under development in Norway, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.
To develop the company’s ability to carry out service and repair activities we seek to employ a Procurement Engineer/Supply Chain Manager .
We are looking for a self- motivated individual with experience of supply chain and procurement management in an industrial setting. The successful individual will be a key contributor in developing the Company’s operational activities in accordance with our requirements for reduced operating cost and increased efficiency.
- Responsibilities:
- Establish and analyse procurement requirements
- Analyse supplier market and identify suppliers
- Develop purchasing strategy and plans
- Establish and develop a supply process with procedures, and instructions
- Manage contract and supplier development
- Contribute in contract negotiations
- Identify and analyse improvement areas
We seek a technically minded individual that thrives in an operational environment. You will be commercially motivated and driven by the desire to reduce costs whilst improving efficiency. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a high degree of independence as well as excellent co-operation and communication skills. We believe the job requires a structured, systematic and hands-on approach and a good commercial understanding. The position is due to be located in the Central Belt region and travel is required.
It is essential that you have procurement experience from within an engineering/construction type industry and preferably having dealt with large-scale supply and logistics. Qualification and/or membership of professional bodies would be an advantage.
The position is a new role within the Company and the right person will need to demonstrate the ability to build profitable relationships with suppliers and manufacturers and to establish systems and procedures.
