Level 7 Siemens tech’s, they are also called Senior Authorised Technicians. A level 7 can take charge of a turbine and lock the rotor. They have to be a level 7 on each machine for example they will be a level 7 on a 3.6MW but not an a 2.3MW and they will need to do a 1 day course to become level 7 on a 2.3MW. We need 2.3MW level 7 although I will put forward any level 7 with installation experience.
We need guys that have done installation. The technicians that have only done servicing and never done installation we are not interested in for this role but I will still have a look at the CV’s.
The machines they will be working on are Siemens 2.3MW direct drive, and they will be put up with 200m tall shell towers that come in kit form. These are both prototype products and twice the normal height of 2.3 machines so they will want to work on them.
The site they will be on is either Zephyr in Romania or Haiger in Germany then they will be moved to the UK, other Romanian sites, Morocco or Brazil.
They will be paid £18.70 per hour plus £45 every night they are away and they will work 12 hour days 6 day weeks as a minimum some guys will work up to 95 hours so they will earn £1,600-£2,000 per week.
Travel, hotel, flights, clothes all paid for they only pay for their food.
They will work 6 weeks on 2 weeks off. They are only paid for the weeks they work.
