Windfarm Asset Manager

My Client, a large renewable energy company, is looking for a Windfarm Asset Manager.
 
They oversee all aspects of managing wind farm assets, ensuring they adhere to best practice for safety, quality and environmental performance. Their wind portfolio is currently expanding with a large number of projects coming on line in the next few years, and as such they require individuals to assist in their expansion.
 
The Role
Manage daily Operations and Maintenance activities on a number of wind farms. The Site Manager will be main contact for works and other day to day activities on a number of wind farms.
This role will enhance the quality of works on each project and provide an on the ground interface with contractors, landowners and other concerned parties.
The Site Manager will also feed into the annual budgeting and planning process for each wind farm.
 
Duties:
Ensure all site works are carried out -  including carrying out safety inductions, managing contractors, providing toolbox talks and ensuring site safety.
Supervise maintenance activities; respond to site trips and turbine errors and react to any emergencies.
Monitor the day to day issues on the relevant wind farms and advise of issues affecting site production and availability targets.
Carry out monthly wind farm inspections of turbines, civil and site electrical systems.
Maintain good working relationships with O&M contractors, landowners and local communities throughout the lifetime of the wind farm.
Maintain site inventory
 
Experience required;
Supervision of works and contractors
Interpretation of mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and work instructions.
Familiarity with computerised SCADA systems and maintenance management systems.
Good communication skills
Completed a recognised mechanical/ electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience
A current UK driving licence
 
This role is mainly outdoor based.
