Offshore Project Development Manager - London

Offshore Project Development Manager – London area, UK - £60k-£70k + Bonus

My client is one of the largest global developers with an outstanding reputation for excellence. They develop, construct and operate large scale offshore wind farms.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the identification, development and consent of potential offshore wind farm sites, taking successful projects through the initial stages of development to initiation. You will be required to coordinate and take responsibility of environmental impact assessments for offshore wind farms with a specific emphasis on round 3 projects.

Responsibilities:

•Leading the Project team
•Manage project budgets and resources
•Produce planning applications for the development of offshore wind farms
•Working with the project manager to produce budgets ahead of development
•Managing the Identification of potential sites for future development
•Co ordinate feasibility studies and EIA’s for onshore and offshore works
•Manage specialist consultants and liaise with technical and engineering managers
•Communicate and provide solutions as they arise
•Monitor project progress and provide performance reports to senior management

Education:-

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (environmental, engineering, planning or science based subject)

Core Requirements

•Minimum 5 years relevant experience
•Experience dealing with planning authorities and relevant stakeholders
•Strong leadership skills
•Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
•Willingness to travel

General Requirements:-
•Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
•Previous experience managing engineering and construction works for wind projects at development stage
•Excellent problem solving skills
