Offshore Wind SCADA Commissioning Engineer

You will be joining one of the UK's leading renewable energy developer and operator, where they develop, build and operate offshore wind farms along the coast across Europe. This innovative company has been involved in major project pipelines over 4GW taking active involvement in all engineering aspects

The successful candidate will be required to work on both the installation and commissioning of the Gwynt Y Môr Offshore Wind Farm project both onshore and offshore. The Offshore SCADA Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the successful installation & commissioning of the Offshore SCADA equipment. Working closely and building relationships with all key suppliers.

Responsibilities:

-Working alongside the main supplier commissioning engineers & technicians.
-Manage cross package interface activities for the SCADA & control systems.
-Witness and sign off of installation and commissioning activities to an agreed Quality Inspection Plan.
-Managing snagging process on plant areas, to successful completion & close out.
-Participate in the engineering change management process with the SCADA project design engineering team, where necessary.
-Prepare/review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for work on site.
-Training & mentoring of Operations & Maintenance team members.

Skills:

-Time served apprenticeship with a minimum of HNC qualification (or equivalent) in electrical/electronic engineering discipline.
-Previous experience with Siemens Wind WPS or similar system is essential.
-Previous experience with PowerCC SCADA or similar system is essential.
-Previous experience working in Offshore Projects is essential.
-Excellent communication skills
