Our client - a leader in design and fabrication of structures for the offshore oil and gas and renewables sector - is searching for a
SR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (m/f)
to expand their design team.
THE POSITION:
you will be embedded in a team of highly experienced professionals in the design and fabrication of offshore structures. the company is internationally very successful and is highly appreciated as a design leader in its sector.
They are multi-culturally set-up and have a very open culture in which cooperation and self-responsible working are key. As the company is a know-how leader, they seek an experienced professional who is willing and capable to create really new designs.
YOUR TASK:
-Design of new structures for the offshore oil and gas and offshore wind energy sector
-improvement of existing structure designs
-consulting clients in what designs are the best for their specific needs
-improvement of design processes (optimization of design calculation processes)
-conduct market observations in design developments
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:
-an engineering degree in mechanical or structural engineering, best with Master degree
-at least 8 years of proven successful experience in the design of offshore structures, best in steel only.
-deep understanding of design details for structures for offshore oil and gas and offshore wind
-you have proven to be able to design - self-responsibly - new designs of offshore structures and you see it as a true challenge to design new structures
-you like to deal with clients directly and are able to interact with them on a technical and commercial level well
-you are fit in the use of FEM (ANSYS)
-you have proven success in the successful completion of design projects
-you are innovative, always thinking about how designs can be improved
-you are fit in English and at least one additional language
-you are a true teamplayer, but have also the power to convince
-you are a self starter
