Project Director - Edmonton, Canada.

My Client is the largest independently owned Electrical Contractor operating in Canada. With a reputation for excellence and a strong pipeline of projects set for the coming years, this company is looking to further expand and dominate the transmission construction industry

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple transmission lines construction projects in Canada. You will be responsible for managing the projects in the initial pre construction phase and seeing them through to completion.

Responsibilities:-
•Provide vital input related to project execution for power line construction projects
•Provide vital input during the bidding phase
•Manage projects P&;L
•Maintain a close working relationship with Project Managers
•Working with Project Control manager to maintain project schedule
•Liase with project owners to provide progress updates
•Oversee order changes on current projects


Education:-
You will be educated to degree level ideally in construction management or an engineering discipline

Core Requirements:-
•A minimum of 15 years experience working within the transmission industry
•Previous experience working as a Project Manager
•Proven ability to manage multiple T&;D projects simultaneously
•Strong management and leadership skills
•Ability to interface between design and construction teams


General Requirements
•Ability to work towards and meet strict deadlines
•Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
•PMP certification would be advantageous but not essential
•Willingness to relocate to Edmonton if necessary
