Principal Cable Consultant

My client is a consultancy specialising in the oil gas, renewable energy and telecoms industry . Due to the companys ongoing success and long-term ambitious growth plans, the company are now hiring consultants at various levels to be based in the UK, France or Germany

Position Overview:
Primarily a technical role, you will be responsible for securing future subsea cabling projects and providing technical support for all cables related issues through out.

Responsibilities:
-Preparing and checking engineering calculations.
-Report, specification and procedure writing and checking
-Prepare and give outstanding presentations to clients on work done
-Provide technical assistance to any cable engineering related issue
-Provide technical leadership to all staff members

Education:
Educated to degree level in a relevant technical or science discipline

Core Requirements:
-A minimum of 8 years subsea engineering experience
-A proven track record working with subsea cables
-Strong technical understanding of subsea cabling installations
-Strong business acumen

General Requirements
-Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
-As well as offshore experience, candidates must have worked in a similar office based role
-Ability to work towards and meet strict deadlines
-Managerial experience
-Consultancy experience would be desirable
