Engineering Transmissions Manager. Virginia, USA. $130k-$150k + benefits
My Client is a wind energy development company pursuing projects throughout North America. They have developed over $10 billion in operating wind facilities as well as building a national pipeline of over 5,100 megawatts
Position Overview:
Manage the Companys multiple transmission interconnection requests located in several different RTOs and to manage various electrical engineering consultants supporting the development and design of wind energy projects.
Responsibilities:
-Managaing all transmission interconnection requests
-Determine optimal substation configurations as well as transmission and collection routes
-Coordinate electrical consultants
-Perform grid analysis
-Create and update electrical design guidelines and specifications
-Assist with electrical engineering issues
Education:
Minimum Bachelors of Science degree in electrical engineering
Core Requirements:
-Experience managing consulting engineering firms
-Experience working with ISOs
-Willingness to relocate to Virginia

-Ability to work independently towards strict deadlines and targets
-Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
