THE ROLE
- Project Management for key client wind energy assignments including technical due diligence, lender's engineer and owner's engineer for onshore and offshore wind energy projects;
- Responsibility for managing the technical requirements and commercial inputs for the wind energy assignments;
- Assist in other renewable project assignments as required, including solar, biomass and marine energy projects;
- Support the Head of Wind UK in business development activities to secure new clients and project opportunities in the UK wind energy sector (onshore and offshore);
- Management of technical inputs from internal teams and external sub-consultants/ third parties to ensure successful project delivery;
- Project Management of wind farms through EIA process on behalf of clients, leading to planning submission and negotiation with all stakeholders;
- Reporting on emerging renewable technologies and assistance in development of new opportunities in these areas as required;
- Ensure project work is developed to timescales/ budget;
- Support in representing the company at conferences and exhibitions

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline
- Thorough understanding of the wind energy sector (onshore and offshore) and the critical issues impacting project development;
- Good knowledge of the wider UK renewables market and understanding of renewable energy technologies;
- Experience in due diligence for acquisitions of wind farm sites/ renewable energy projects;
- Experience in managing environmental consultants and third parties;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
